The Mages of Warcraft once centered their powers within the mageocracy of Dalaran. After that kingdom's destruction by the Burning Legion, however, the arcane arts spread to the far corners of the world.
PRO- Mages are FUN. Well, any class you play in WoW is going to be fun, but I especially like playing as a mage. Mages have lots of spells, and all of them look amazing while casting and are all useful. Their range is pretty far; sometimes you can even totally kill your enemy before he has a chance to get to you. Mages have the highest damage per second of any class.
CON- They die extremely fast. If 3+ creeps all of a sudden mob you, say goodnight. Most classes are able to solo multiple enemies without problem that you can barely kill one on one. A few times when I was in a party, 4 of the enemies decided to attack me at once, and I died before I knew what was going on. If you like to solo, I wouldn't go for the Mage, parties are mandatory at later levels. |
